Our paper, led by Andy To at the European Space Agency in the Netherlands, has been picked as a NOVA research highlight from the journals of the American Astronomical Society.
Andy found some interesting signs of mass motions prior to solar X-ray flares that could be used to help predict when they will happen, and also whether they will produce an eruption (coronal mass ejection). This is important for studies of space weather and the impacts on Earth.
The highlights article can be read here and the full paper is here.
